Bob Smith
(Bass Instructor)

Born and raised in Missouri

Starting playing at the age of 10 years old. Played his first professional gig at the age of 13. He had a passion for percussion and continued up until his college years where he was in the percussion section at college in Illinois in 1973. When he moved to Springfield, Illinois in 1979, he started to play with local municipal theatre bands. And at the Community Theatre, where he performed, he was a part of several popular shows such as Godspell, Mame, Hello Dolly, Oklahoma, etc.

He has played with country, rock’n roll, jazz and bluegrass bands in college and continues to this day to play different genres of music.

Bob Smith moved to Florida in November of 2017 with his wife, CarolAnn and his six children. God has taught them many lessons about patience!

He is a Bass, Electric Guitar & Acoustic Guitar player with the praise and worship band at Real
Life, Clermont, FL. And he currently performs with his band, Walter’s Head out of Eustis, FL.

Education In the performing arts program at Cooper City High School. Attended Broward College for Music.

Over 20 years teaching Bass and Guitar

Experience Played with Jason Ricci, Josh Smith, Taylor Dane and many more! Was co-musical director for the house band on the Jaime Bayley show.

Currently In the Pangea Band Miami and in the house band at Red Rock Studios
