Music Store Inc. Lesson Agreement

Thank you for choosing us to learn music with! The following represents the lesson policies for the Music Store, effective 1/5/24.

There is a one-time registration fee of $35 for all new students. Lessons are booked in 30, 45, and 60-minute increments with students attending at least 1 lesson per week.

Tuition: Lessons are $40 for 30 minutes, $50 for 45 minutes, and $60 for 60 minutes. You will be charged monthly or bi-weekly, by your choice. You will be charged for how many lessons are scheduled for the entire month. Payments come out on the 1st of the month.  If your card is declined, we will attempt to contact you. If we CANNOT get in contact with you by the next scheduled lesson then the student will be removed from the schedule and you will be billed for the unpaid lessons. If you wish to pay for a one time only lesson, the rates will be $50 for 30 minutes, $60 for 45 minutes, and $70 for 60 minutes. There is no registration fee for one time only lessons.

Attendance: Lesson times are held on the same day at the same time each week.  Students are expected to attend their lessons each week.  You must give a minimum of 48 hours notice if you are ill and can not make the lesson.  If you call and give 48 hours notice, the lesson will be immediately deducted from your account, and a make-up credit issued. You have 30 days from the original lesson date to make up that lesson with the teacher at no additional cost, subject to the availability of the instructor or a substitute. Students are limited to one eligible makeup/reschedule per calendar month. You CANNOT do a makeup lesson at your regularly scheduled lesson time.  All make-up lessons will be made up as an online lesson, unless able to reschedule that makeup lesson with the teacher in the store.  If you fail to call to cancel your lesson, or call the day of your lesson, that is considered a forfeiture of that lesson, and the lesson will be deducted from your account and no make up credit will be issued.  Exceptions to this policy are at the discretion of the lesson coordinator and the instructor.  If the Music Store cancels the lesson due to an unforeseen closure of the store, you will not be charged. If the teacher cancels the lesson, we will try to find a substitute. If we are unable to, we will consider it a store cancellation and you will not be charged. All scheduling MUST be done online or with Lesson Coordinator Ms. Pam. (See above for contact info) Teachers do not have the ability to schedule lessons. The Music Store CANNOT refund tuition for lessons canceled by the student.

Termination: Your commitment is one calendar month at a time.  This contract will automatically renew each month and will remain in effect until WRITTEN notice is given of your intent to terminate. You must give said written notice at least 30 days prior to termination. If any lessons are transferred to another student, there will be a fee of $25.  We also expect our students and teachers to treat us with respect and professionalism. We reserve the right to un-enroll any student or decline to instruct any student due to student behavior, parent behavior, lack of payment, or any other reasons the store or teachers deem necessary. There will be no refunds upon any termination of contact. Thank you for understanding.

Waiver: While the chances for injury or damage occurring during a music lesson are slim, the student and their parent(s) understand that any activity may have some level of risk.  Students and their parents agree that they will not hold the Music Store or any of its owners, staff or teachers liable should injury or damage occur, whether at the store or at an off-site location.

Photography, Video, and Audio Recordings of Students: The staff at The Music Store routinely photographs and makes video and audio recordings of student performances which we may publish in brochures, posters, displays, our website, and our social media platforms. As a condition of enrollment in lessons at the Music Store, you grant the Music Store the right to make and publish these recordings. Student’s names will not be given in the videos unless permission is granted by Student, or by the Parent of said student if said student is a minor. Exclusion of an individual student’s photos and recordings may be requested in writing. The Music Store will make best efforts to comply with exclusion requests when possible. However, videos of others in the store may capture the student’s performance, and group photos may feature the student. These circumstances will be considered outside the limits of the exclusion request. Classes, Rehearsals, Performances, and other Events taking place within the Music Store may be recorded on a closed-circuit security system. These recordings are for security and quality purposes, but they may also be published or made available for purchase.

This lesson agreement can be updated at any time, and your signature below signifies that you acknowledge that the lesson agreement may change and that you acknowledge any changes made after the date below. Updated copies of the lesson agreement can be found on our website.
