PAMELA ARCHANGELI

 (Lesson Coordinator, Woodwind Instructor)

Pam is a transplant from Connecticut, where she learned the clarinet at age 8. During her high school years, she performed in Regional and All-State wind ensembles, and even worked as a musician at a music camp. She received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education at Houghton University, under the tutelage of former Buffalo Philharmonic clarinetists Diana Haskell and John Hunter. After college, she worked for the Walt Disney Company in Orlando as a candy maker, and in Hartford as a stockbroker assistant, before spending 11 out of the next 18 years as a music teacher for Future Musicians, a company who staffs music teachers to CT’s Catholic School system. During this time, she taught band, chorus and general music, and was an adjudicator and conductor for the Catholic Regional and All-State bands. She also holds a Professional Pre-K through 12th grade music certification from the State of Connecticut.  During her “sabbatical years,” she got married, and stayed home for seven years with their young son. Once she moved back to Florida for her husband’s job, she has been a substitute with the Lake County School District, subbing for many music and classroom teachers in the area!

In 2023, in addition to teaching at The Music Store, she became our Lesson Coordinator. She brings an well-versed knowledge of band instrument programs, and is expanding the Music Store’s school music instrument and accessory offerings. She is married to her husband Peter, and has a son, Noel, now a teenager. In her spare time, Pam plays clarinet in the Central Florida Community Band in College Park, hikes in the New England and North Carolina mountains, goes Letterboxing, and goes antiquing with her family! She also loves Arts and Crafts architecture, with a special love for bungalows, Greene and Greene, and Frank Lloyd Wright!
