This Armstrong Model 4001 student clarinet has been professionally refurbished to excellent playing condition, offering reliable performance at an accessible price point. The durable plastic resin body provides crack-resistant stability while producing a focused, even tone across registers. The refurbishment process included complete pad replacement, cork renewal, and key regulation to ensure proper air-tight seal and responsive key action.
Designed for developing musicians, the 4001 features a comfortable 17-key system with plateau-style keywork that accommodates smaller hands. The nickel-plated keys show minimal wear after refurbishment, and the adjustable thumb rest allows for personalized playing position. While originally a student model, the thorough refurbishment brings this instrument to near-new mechanical condition, making it ideal for school band programs or casual players.
