This Meinl HCS 14" China Cymbal delivers an explosive, brash, and bright attack with deep, dark, and trashy undertones, making it a perfect accent for rock and pop drumming. You get a cymbal crafted in Germany from Meinl's durable MS63 brass alloy, which holds up to the force of your sticks while maintaining excellent musical expression. The cymbal has a thin weight, a traditional finish, and is shaped using Meinl's Pressure Point Technology for focused, dynamic tonal qualities. The 14-inch china features an upward-facing lip around its edge, a design characteristic that produces its unique gong-like, trashy voice.
Strike this cymbal for quick, trashy accents that cut through the mix with a low-mid pitch and medium-to-short sustain. The HCS series is designed for beginner and intermediate players, offering all the cymbal types found in professional lines at realistic prices. The lathed, wide-blade surface provides a precise stick sound, and the warm, harmonical tone makes this china versatile for any style or genre. Pair it with an HCS Trash Crash or HCS Bell for really innovative sounds.
